My client is an HVAC contractor, specializing in multifamily construction across the South of North America. They work across 6 states that are spread across Atlanta, Alabama, Orlando, Tennessee, North Carolina & South Carolina and have 3 regional offices. They’re one of the leading contractors within this field and have a revenue of circa $120M. Due to their superb reputation, they’re very fussy about who they work with, they have around 20 General Contractors and several Owners/Developers whom they work very closely with, and this leads to them turning down work. The average life cycle of a project that they work on is around 29 months, but it could range from 15 months – 35 months.
ABOUT THE ROLE
My client is looking for a Pre-Construction Project Manager to join the Pre-Construction department. This role has come about due to company growth, and you will be involved in every stage of the project until construction work starts. The position is very client-facing and will involve a lot of reading blueprints and discussing with the General Contractor, discussing the schedules of the project with the General Contractor, Ordering Subcontractors, and materials verifying the price of the project and ordering materials.
REQUIREMENTS
You must have at least 3 years’ experience working in the HVAC industry, ideally working for a sub-contractor that works on multifamily projects. It would be preferred if you already have experience working in a Pre-Construction role, but I am also open to someone who has been working on-site for 3 or 4 years as an Engineer or Project Manager and looking to move into a Pre-Construction position.
