My client is a is a well-established mechanical contracting company based in North Jersey, specializing in commercial and industrial HVAC installations and service. ABOUT THE ROLE

My client is seeking an experienced and driven HVAC Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of HVAC projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining customer satisfaction and profitability. HVAC/R contractors license a plus!

 

  • Manage all phases of HVAC projects including estimation, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, field supervision, and close-out.

  • Oversee multiple commercial/industrial HVAC installations ranging from $100K to $5M+ in value.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Work closely with field supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate schedules and deliverables.

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, change orders, and documentation.

  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve any issues that arise.

  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience managing HVAC or mechanical contracting projects (commercial/industrial focus preferred).

  • HVAC/R contractors license OR HVAC/R license (a plus!)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, construction practices, and building codes.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints, technical specifications, and construction drawings.

  • Solid understanding of project management principles and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar software).

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites throughout North Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York State.
