ABOUT THE COMPANY

My client is a leading, national General Contractor who works across multiple sectors such as its involvement in various construction projects, including infrastructure, heavy civil construction, utilities, and environmental remediation. The company has a history of working on projects such as aviation, railways, bridges, highways, tunnels, and other large-scale construction endeavors. My client has been trading for nearly 70 years and has a rich family history building a brilliant reputation along the way. The projects can range in value from $1M small-scale projects to large-scale technical projects in the region of $800M. They subcontract out work as well as self-perform concrete and excavations. They do work across the East Coast in locations such as Florida & North Carolina however New York is where their hotspot for work is.

ABOUT THE ROLE

My client is looking for a Estimator to join their team due to ongoing enquiries. They’re looking for an Estimator who has the capabilities of managing a pricing heavy civils projects ranging from $1M – $800M. The bids you will be working on will involving subcontract packages as well as self-delivering scope of work such as concrete, piling, excavations.

About the role

  • Document constructability concerns, questions, drawing discrepancies + chase answers and corrections.
  • Request, receive, compare and level multiple bids for each project trade.
  • Communicate with Operations team management to fully describe and hand off completed estimating packages.
  • Help to evaluate bid opportunities.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings or walk-throughs as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

It is essential you have experience preparing bids for heavy civils projects across public and private sectors, you won’t be considered if you’ve never worked on those types of projects. It is also essential you have experienced self-performing concrete and excavations. You need over 5 years of experience working as a Estimator.

The salary ranges from $160,000 – $200,000 + a full healthcare package paid for you and your family, 401K, yearly bonus, project bonus, and 15 days PTO.
