ABOUT THE ROLE
My client is looking for an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale infrastructure projects. This role is boots-on-the-ground and requires a strong leader who can manage crews, coordinate with project managers, enforce safety, and keep work progressing efficiently and on schedule. Projects may include bridgework, underground utilities, site development, concrete, and structural work, often in high-traffic or sensitive environments.
REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of heavy civil field experience, with 3+ years in a superintendent or general foreman role
Proven leadership on DOT, utility, aviation, or agency-driven infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of excavation, concrete, utilities, structural work, and site logistics
Ability to manage field crews, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
Solid understanding of safety protocols and ability to enforce them consistently
Proficient in reading drawings, specs, and interpreting field documentation
Strong communication and organizational skills
OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety training a plus
