ABOUT THE ROLE
About the Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll take the lead on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design projects across the commercial and hospitality sectors. You’ll guide junior engineers, serve as Engineer of Record where applicable, and oversee QA/QC, calculations, layout, and field work. This role involves technical oversight, mentoring, and active collaboration with clients, project managers, and internal teams to meet both budget and performance expectations. Based in Voorhees, NJ, this position is ideal for a hands-on leader ready to drive high-value projects forward.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
BS in Mechanical Engineering; PE license preferred
15+ years of HVAC/plumbing/fire protection design experience
Expertise in energy modeling tools (Trace, HAP, eQUEST, ENERGY STAR)
Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience a plus
Familiar with applicable codes, LEED standards, and design-build delivery methods
Strong project management, time management, and communication skills
Ability to manage and mentor staff, review drawings, and coordinate with clients
Business acumen and proposal experience preferred
